Today, USCIS released the new Form I-9 (Employment Eligibility Verification). The form, dated 3/8/13, has been expanded to two pages and includes new fields for the employee’s foreign passport information, telephone, and e-mail address. Prior I-9 versions cannot be used after May 7, 2013. The new form can be found on the USCIS website, along with general I-9 information.

CIS has also updated its “Handbook for Employers Guidance for Completing the Form I-9 (M-274).”
